We decided to take a trip to Moab this year and we hitched a ride with
Chad and Melissa and Dave and Vicky. We met Chase there and unfortunately for him he had a much father drive. At Chad's we saw his huge dog.
Boxer wasn't sure what to think.
We strapped the girls in the back and Mason rode with Grandpa and Grandma and either Avery or Carsten.
Mason had to have these gloves when they picked up the RZR.
Stopping for a snack and a view.
Then there was that one time that Chad's back tire went into a hole and tipped over in slow motion right in front of us. Thirty seconds before Darrin realized he didn't have his seat belt on and put it on and as they were tipping he told Avery to keep her arms in but doesn't remember saying that. So glad no one was hurt. It was crazy seeing Melissa and Darrin dangling there!
Hanging out eating lunch!
I'm turning into a wimp and wouldn't let Chase go on some crazy trails like this one that Chad took.
Later, we went swimming but the kids preferred the hot tub!
The second day we went on a much scarier trail but at least it was pretty. Mason and Brinley had so much fun with their cousins.
Mason didn't want to go in the cave and he told me to be quiet because there was an animal sleeping.
This was a rough part and the boys were throwing rocks to give the tires something to drive on and Darrin was standing on it to keep it from tipping over. Ahhhh!
We turned around after about a mile and unfortunately we had to go down all the scary places we just went up. Whenever we would stop I would give Mason the thumbs up and if he was having fun he would give me the thumbs up back and if he was scared he would shake his head and give me the thumbs down. There were a lot of thumbs down this day!
It was too scary to have the kids in so they watched and then we hiked to the top to safety.
I was checking out the beauty instead of watching.
We went to a much easier trail and stopped for lunch. Chase made some shade for the kids.
It amazes me that these two could fall asleep with all the noise and bumping. It looked like Teagan was going to break her neck but she didn't mind.
We rented two condos this time and it was a lot of fun. One night we had Cal and his family over for dinner and at night after the kids were in bed, Chase and I went to the other condo to play games. It was nice of Dave and Vicky to stay with our kids so we could laugh the night away! We damaged the RZR we rented but luckily it didn't cost too much to fix.
