Brinley at 18 Months

This little cutie is 18 months old!

Weight: 28.2 lbs (95th percentile)
Length: 34.5 in (99th percentile
Head: 18.25 in (50-75th percentile)

The doctor actually told me that she was off the chart for height.  She said she compares to a 2 1/2-3 year old at 50th percentile, if they measured correctly.  I don't think she's much taller than other kids her age.
She has grown up so much the last few months and I feel like we have a little girl on our hands now.  She is the happiest little girl and loves to laugh and smile!  We can't be around her for more than a minute before we have to kiss that cute face.

She went to nursery for the first time on Sunday and looked so pretty!  Mason was making faces to get her to smile.  She immediately left Dad and went to play with the puzzles with the other kids.  So different from Mason!  The leaders told Chase to leave her and we expected them to bring her back but they said she got sad and asked for us twice but did great!  Hopefully she'll remember how much fun she had and do well again.  A new family moved into our ward so there are two Brinleys!

She would play outside all day if she could.  She loves swinging really high, playing with rocks and dirt and running around.  She really RUNS everywhere!  These two are getting older so I let them go play alone for a few minutes sometimes.  I recently had to take a ladybug out of Brinley's mouth but they play well together.

Brinley is always doing silly things that make us laugh.  She put on daddy's hat and thought she was pretty funny.  She also LOVES her blankets (nigh nigh) and carries them around a lot.

She has decided lately that she needs to feed herself.  Not so cute!  If I offer her something on a fork, she'll take it off and put it in her mouth.  She has to hold her own sandwich too which ends up with smeared peanut butter and jelly all over her tray.

Brinley loves her brother!  She has to copy what he's doing at all times even if it's taking a drink of water at the same time.  Mason still needs to learn to be more gentle and loving but Brinley is a tough girl!  If she cries I know she really got hurt.  I hope they grow to be even better friends as they get older.

Love that face!  She has all her molars and now we're waiting for the canines to come in.  She is obsessed with her toothbrush.

We have to avoid these things at the mall now because she loved it so much she'll cry if she can't ride them.

She loves going for walks and this day we were outside playing when we heard the music coming from the "ice c.ream truck."  We went to find it and it was a snow cone truck.  You get a cup of ice and there were flavors on the side of the truck to make your own creation.  They were in heaven!

Brinley is still a great sleeper and eater, sleeping 12 hours at night and usually a 2 hour nap.  She is saying more and more words.  My favorite is when she wants something and she grabs my leg and says "up" and takes me to what she wants and says PLEASE so cute I can't resist giving her what she wants.  She also says CHEESE really well whenever she sees my camera. She has started to put words together and she often says 'what's that,' where's dada, bye bye dada.  She probably says 15-20 that we can recognize and understand.  She gives the BEST hugs and gives us all kisses where ever she can reach, legs, hands, etc.  She also kisses our owwies but tries to pick our scabs.  She is getting so good with the iPad and loves the puzzle app.  It's so cute watching her little fingers!  She's my wild woman and so much fun!
