We started off the holiday with a pancake breakfast at our church. There was a talent show and a pancake eating contest and Mason liked that there was a fire truck there. He got to go look around inside.
Then we went to our neighbors for a BBQ. We met their family several months ago at a BBQ hosted by members of our ward. Turns out they are Chase's patients and the guy helps Chase with his IT stuff. Small world! They are a very fun family and so nice. It was a little weird being the youngest couple with the oldest kid! And also when she told me the beverages were beer, water and iced tea. ;)
The festive outfits! Brinley's hair doesn't like the little bit of humidity we were having.
After the BBQ we came back and did fireworks. The kids threw poppers and Brinley would giggle at the noise!
She wasn't afraid at all. She wanted to run to the fireworks. Here she was dancing to the sound of fireworks.
Teagan didn't mind them either. I realized she had her blanket on when it was over 100 degrees but decided to keep it on so she didn't get bit by any bugs. It was a fun day!
