Today Grandma and Grandpa made one of Mason's dreams come true. He got to ride on a train! The railroad crossing arms are especially exciting to him so it was so fun to watch his face as he saw the gates stopping traffic for a train that we were on! It was a perfect day for a train ride with all the fresh snow and a beautiful blue sky. I read online that the train cars aren't heated and to dress accordingly. We were all bundled up and brought several blankets. After asking someone in the train station, it turns out there are heaters so we left the blankets behind. They actually opened the doors on the train to cool us off.

Each car had an elf helper and ours was Candy Cane.
The train is over 100 years old and Mason said it needed a bath!
It's a 90 minute round trip ride and along the way we sang songs, told jokes, drank hot chocolate and ate a cookie. Mason said he didn't like the hot chocolate but he loves chocolate milk but he still managed to finish every last drop!

Then Mrs. Claus came through each car to give us the recipe for Santa's favorite cookie. Brinley liked her bells!
Teagan was a little tired so Grandpa stood up with her to make her happy.
The train came to a stop and we were told there were reindeer on the tracks. After a minute we got going again and saw Santa outside the North Pole!
Brinley was waving at him!
Santa came aboard and gave everyone bells and asked the kids what they wanted for Christmas.
Mason said a surprise and Brinley said presents. Pretty easy to please!
You have to sing Jingle Bells while shaking your bell!
After the ride we let Mason climb on a caboose. Then we went to lunch at the Dairy Keen with trains and Mason was in heaven! And everyone fell asleep on the way home so I was in heaven! We had a fun time and wish Chase could have come but Mason informed us that he wants to ride the Polar Express every time we come to Utah!
